Once Upon a Forest: Introduction to Nature Writing

The wild world provides so much scope for the imagination, as Anne with a E would say. Join us for this three-part series as we dive into the basics of storytelling and world building, polish our writing mechanics and research skills, and workshop our ideas into written pieces! All levels of writer are welcome! (And who is a writer, you ask? Do you have a story you’d like to tell? You’re a writer!)

Tuesdays, 7pm – 8:30pm at Steel Goat

Feb. 6 – The Basics of Story and World-Building
Feb. 13 – Writing Mechanics, Descriptive Language, and Research
Feb. 20 – Workshopping Pieces Together

$10 per class or $25 for the series

Backyard Nature is a nature education non-profit based in Penn Hills. Founder Dr. Maria Wheeler-Dubas has over twenty years of experience in the informal science education settings of zoos, museums, and gardens; and she loves nothing more than seeing folks excited to be learning about the wild world around us.
