Many species, like monarch butterflies and Baltimore checkerspots, struggle to find their essential host plants, leading to their rapid decline. This class addresses this crisis by teaching you the crucial technique of winter sowing for native plant seeds.

Learn how to successfully winter sow native seeds!  These seedlings supported events at prestigious venues like Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens and were a hit at the Western Pennsylvania Audubon Society’s gathering.

Don’t have native seeds? No problem! We’ve got you covered. Attendees receive Monarda Fitzulosa seed to kickstart their native garden.
